On 25th at Paradip, the costly fish from the seized Srilankan fishing trawler valued more than lakhs of Rupees were auctioned on throw away price of Rs.23000/- and the proceedings of the auction has been sent to Government Treasury. The 550 Kgs of fish whose values are high in International market were auctioned in presence of Paradip Marine Police, Orissa State Fisheries officials today. It was already reported in the Pioneer earlier that the Srilankan fishing trawler was seized inside Indian exclusive economic zone by the Indian Coast Guard. The security of the country can be jeoparadised in absence of proper vigil by Indian Navy and Coast Guard whose carelessness caused Mumbai blast on 26.11 and the entry Srilankan fishing trawler inside the Indian water has been caused.
